Pam and Jason got married today in Fiji… they both shed tears of emotion saying their vows and everyone had a fabulous time with family and friends in paradise. Unfortunately, Georgie got really sick during the evening and a doctor had to be called - probably a heatstroke related condition requiring medication to stop her vomiting. With lots of support and family around everything ran smoothly and the bride and groom still got to cut their cake and have their first dance as man and wife. Pam looked AMAZING and Jason was beaming the whole time. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception dinner was delicious. A slight spritz of rain as we walked from the chapel at the Sheraton to the reception at the Radisson didn’t damper spirits and the evening was really lovely. We ended with lots of dancing and said goodnight to Pam and Jason as they left to take care of Georgie. Tomorrow they leave for their Blue Lagoon honeymoon cruise in the wonderful Fijian islands.
Motherhood is about raising - and celebrating - the child you have, not the child you thought you would have. It's about understanding that she is exactly the person she is supposed to be. And that, if you're lucky, she just might be the teacher who turns you into the person you are supposed to be.
