When I asked Poppy what she’d like for breakfast this morning, she replied “A Roller Coaster!” Fair enough!
Today we were on the road again and drove around 8 hours to Lafayette, Louisiana. On the way we stopped at an outlet mall in Batesville, Mississippi for some shopping and then had lunch somewhere around Jackson, Mississippi. My new plan to keep Poppy amused when she got bored was to let her play some of her games on the laptop. It worked brilliantly and she was completely immersed for about an hour.
- Laptop games diversion
- Chilling watching cartoons while Mummy packs up
- Woah… it’s already 100 degrees and it’s only breakfast time!
- Watching a game of checkers at the Cracker Barrel
- Playing with the peg game while waiting for scrambled eggs and toast
- Poppy & Mummy
- Poppy has a turn in the front seat and listens to her Buzz CD
- The temperature outside as recorded by the truck
- A stop at Wal Mart to get some crackers for afternoon tea
- Ending the day as we begun
- Swimming with her inflatable ducky
- Swimming before bed

101… are you sure you weren’t driving back through Bakerfield? I love the water wings in the pool.
