We had lots of fun in the sun over the weekend in Takaka – especially at the park right across the road from where we were staying. 

We went to church on Sunday morning at the Takaka Church of Christ and everyone was very welcoming and friendly.

Later on in the afternoon we visited Anatoki Salmon Farm where Poppy ran around the lake and watched all the fish.  We played in the sandpit and waited for fish to cook on the smoking BBQ.  On the way out we saw a horse and some deer from Bencarrie animal park next door to the fish farm.

For dinner we met up with friends and walked over to Paul’s house.  Poppy played with Flo the dog and tried on Paul’s boots.  Min read her a story and we went to bed early before driving back over the hill the next morning.  Great weekend!
