Although we had planned a quiet relaxing Christmas Day – we still had lots of fun with Mum & Dad coming over for morning tea on their way to a family BBQ and afternoon tea at our next door neighbours where the kids showed us all their pressies and we ate too much chocolate and pulled crackers.

It was a lovely, sunny summer day so Fred was wearing shorts at Christmas – something he hasn’t been able to do growing up in the USA!
Motherhood is about raising - and celebrating - the child you have, not the child you thought you would have. It's about understanding that she is exactly the person she is supposed to be. And that, if you're lucky, she just might be the teacher who turns you into the person you are supposed to be.
