It was a bittersweet moment saying farewell to our wonderful midwife Wendy. We have been through so much together and will miss our weekly visits with coffee & muffins!

Our lovely neighbours Mark and Sarah brought their 2 year old Josh to the farm on the weekend. We had a great time with all the animals and have since watched the video of all the Josh adventures that day.

This afternoon we had a BBQ at Rabbit Island with our Hips & Lips group so the Dads could show off their little darlings and catch up with each other.

We have decided to try sign language for babies with Poppy and we’ve started learning some of the initial signs from the www.baby-talk.co.nz website. It will be very interesting to see if Poppy starts picking up the signs and whether she can use them in context before she is able to talk. We bought their book from trademe and it came with a free laminated quick reference chart! Their website says your baby is ready to learn signing once they can clap their hands and wave goodbye.

Friday night dinner at the farm with special guests over from Australia – Adrienne’s cousin Liz and her fiance Luke.
Poppy also played Got Ya Nose with Yogi…
….and had some cuddle time with Mummy.

At weighing today Poppy reached 4.2 kilos (9.3 pounds) and is finally starting to look a little chubby!
