wild things
Poppy’s Early Learning Centre had a parents night and performed their own version of “Where the Wild Things Are”. Poppy was a wild thing and had lots of fun growling and gnashing.

lacey’s birthday
Poppy made Lacey a birthday card for her first birthday and then they had a romp around to celebrate.

masked parade
The Nelson Arts Festival starts with a masked parade and then live bands, bouncy castles and a lip-sync competition.
fiji wedding
Pam and Jason got married today in Fiji… they both shed tears of emotion saying their vows and everyone had a fabulous time with family and friends in paradise. Unfortunately, Georgie got really sick during the evening and a doctor had to be called – probably a heatstroke related condition requiring medication to stop her vomiting. With lots of support and family around everything ran smoothly and the bride and groom still got to cut their cake and have their first dance as man and wife. Pam looked AMAZING and Jason was beaming the whole time. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception dinner was delicious. A slight spritz of rain as we walked from the chapel at the Sheraton to the reception at the Radisson didn’t damper spirits and the evening was really lovely. We ended with lots of dancing and said goodnight to Pam and Jason as they left to take care of Georgie. Tomorrow they leave for their Blue Lagoon honeymoon cruise in the wonderful Fijian islands.
fiji holiday
What a fantastic week in Fiji! Poppy and I had lots of adventures and fun times in the sun AND the rain! Pam’s wedding was lovely and we enjoyed having lots of friends on Denarau Island with us.

Some of the highlights included snorkling at Mystery Island, the Naihehe Cave tour inland at Sigatoka (thanks Koria!), the Hard Rock Cafe band and all the dancing (thanks Jeff!), the trip on the public bus into Nadi via the villiages (thanks Mike!), the waterslide at the Radisson, the friendly Fijian people we met everywhere and the amazing accommodation we had at Golf Terraces. I’m especially thankful to Christine from Rosie’s Tours at the Airport Lounge who helped get my lost camera bag from the transfer bus at the last minute when we realised it was missing. These photos can’t possibly describe our overwhelming enjoyment – but will give you a taste of our adventures.
