Poppy Ford: YouTube Video Editor

Poppy visited with GranJan at MacMillians Cafe on Sunday and had fun playing in the toybox, on the swings and with GranJan.

One of Poppy’s favourite activities is the sandpit at Tiny Tots day care. She has been known to look like mud-girl when water is introduced into the sand environment. Here she is with her friends Nathan and Sophie playing with their teacher Jackie.

The Tasman District Council hosted a fabulous activity day at Rabbit Island beach with lots of games, two bouncy castles, a treasure hunt, a big dig in the sand and sandcastle contest. GranJan & Yogi came with us and played in the surf with Poppy. She has now learned to sit up when the waves come rather than crawling into them and getting a mouthfull of salty sea!

Mummy bought Poppy a red & black wetsuit from Trade Me so she can play in the water longer before starting to shiver. In the last few days she has played on her slip’n’slide and in her paddling pool with Josh – then at the Richmond School pool with Melanie from next door.

Poppy’s birthday is at the beginning of February – and Adrienne’s is at the end. It was a fun day of celebrations with GranJan bringing over a lovely lunch and then Adrienne going out with her friends into Nelson in the evening. Poppy painted Mummy a lovely picture and gave her lots of kisses.

Poppy still loves her bathtime. When Adrienne mentions that it’s bathtime, she toddles off to the bathroom and starts to take off her clothes. She sometimes gets her shirt off by herself! She enjoys pouring water from her toys and playing with the flannel. She pulls the plug when it’s time to get out and signs “all gone” to the water.
