Poppy Ford: YouTube Video Editor

We’ve been visiting Grandma Margaret (Ma’s sister) in Kaikoura to break up the long trip between Nelson & Christchurch. She runs Bay-View HomeStay and I’m helping her with internet & print marketing.  This visit we collected white rocks from the beach, went out for dinner and then stayed up late to watch the rugby.  On the way home to Nelson we stopped at our favourite waterfall walk to see the baby seals and jumped over rocks to see the Mummy seals.  We ended up at the Blenheim Market Day before having lunch in Havelock.

Our grabaseat tickets were purchased months ago – and fortuitously we landed the day of the Ranfurly Shield parade! 

Yogi was a school boy in Invercargill the last time the Stags won the Ranfurly Shield and watched the ticker-tape parade from Dee Street just like Poppy did 50 years later. 

To top it off, this photo was taken and appeared in the Southland Times the next day!

Poppy enjoys playing on this interactive sculpture whenever we visit the Stoke library or Countdown.

Poppy pleased the chickens this morning by digging for worms and feeding them at the farm.

We all went to see a fantastic circus production at the Suter during the Nelson Arts Festival call Tale of a Dog.

The St Joseph’s School Gala is always a fun one – this year we went early to watch the items on the stage including the amazing Japanese drummers. Then we visited Ayla’s house and had a playdough art session before returning to the gala to pick up a bag of books for $1!
