Ma & Pa both turn 80 this year so we had a big celebration at the Picton Yacht Club with all their friends and family. It was great to catch up with cousins, aunts and uncles and Poppy was able to play with her 2nd cousins and meet some for the first time.
On our way to Picton, we stopped at Pelorus for a break and walked down to the lookout after having a light lunch.
A lovely Easter weekend in Nelson – we went to the beach for a spot of castle building before hunting for Easter Eggs in the back garden. Poppy found all the wee plastic eggs we hid for her and earned her chocolate surprise!
Annesbrook Church put on a fantastic Easter Fair every year. Poppy had lots of fun and Adrienne was thrilled that all the rides and bouncy castles were free! There was even free popcorn. We went in to the auditorium for the church Easter show where they spoke about the message of Easter and sang some worship songs. It was a great afternoon and we caught up with lots of friends there as well.
Now that Poppy has left Tiny Tots to go to Preschool, she really misses her buddy Nathan. So we arranged a playdate this morning and they had a great time together: eating chocolate cake, playing in Nathan’s cardboard cubby, bouncing on the tramp, building sandcastles, swinging and petting Bubbles, the bunny.
Just a quick snap of Mummy & Poppy after preschool one day…. Poppy had been painting her boiled egg in preparation for Easter.
We brought home her painted egg in it’s little basket the next day…
This afternoon we went to the Mall for some shopping and a fluffy. Poppy spent some time playing at the playdough table set up by Playcentre in the Mall. After a little trampoline fun with Steve, we went to NeeNe’s house for a BBQ dinner, including taking Finn for a walk to the park and playing in the sandpit.
