Poppy’s new toothbrush is a battery-powered one and she is still getting used to the buzzing inside her mouth!
motueka airport
Adrienne had a client meeting in Motueka this morning so Poppy invited GranJan and Yogi along to see the sites and have lunch. Poppy played with Anya and then we drove up to Motueka where Poppy watched the helicopters and parachutists while Mummy was in her meeting. Then we stopped at Up The Garden Path for lunch and Yogi helped drive the playground boat and watch the big digger out on the street. Poppy’s favourite new words this week are STUCK, DARK and DIGGER.
women’s expo
After church Julia and Sophia came over to jump on the trampoline while we waited for GranJan to come and pick us up for a drive into town. We went to the Nelson Women’s Lifestyle Expo and had a really fun afternoon at the Trafalgar Centre. Poppy enjoyed the gifts and balloons she was given – plus the mandarins some stallholders were giving out.

Poor wee Poppy had her last lot of shots until she is ready for school. One in the arm and one in the leg, it was a little painful and surprising – but she was very brave and did really well. Here she is in the waiting room with her bottle afterwards.
playdate with Ayla
Poppy had a great time playing with Ayla today at her house. It was a good chance to catch up during the school holidays while Music class is taking a break. The girls had snacks, watched a Wiggles concert, had a cuddle and played with Ayla’s toys – including her fun music mat.

We live in such an amazing climate here in Nelson. While other cities are being bombarded with wind and rain, we have sunny days with blue skies. Poppy and Adrienne had fun on the beach this afternoon – chasing seagulls up and down the beach, digging with the spade and jumping across lines we drew in the sand.
